From a family custom-home shop in 1992 to the Okanagan’s specialist dental, medical and commercial builder — the hallmark hasn’t changed.

Our story

Built the way reputations are — slowly, then all at once.

  1. 1992

    Founded on craftsmanship

    Len Suchocki starts Chriscan as a family-owned custom home builder in the Okanagan, building a reputation one residence at a time.

  2. 2004

    Into commercial

    Chriscan diversifies into commercial construction and tenant improvements — the same year a young apprentice carpenter named Jim Kitchin joins the crew.

  3. 2008

    Journeyman standard

    Jim earns his journeyman ticket and rises through supervisor and manager roles, learning the company from the tools up.

  4. Today

    Same hallmark, new hands

    Jim Kitchin leads Chriscan as President & Owner. Len has retired; the standard he set — personal attention to detail — has not.

Started at Chriscan as an apprentice carpenter in 2004, earned his journeyman ticket in 2008, and worked through supervisor and manager roles before taking ownership. He still runs the company from the field first.

Founder — retired

Founded Chriscan in 1992 and set the quality reputation the company still trades on. Now retired, his name still comes up in client letters — usually next to the word “impressed.”
